On January 22, 2020, the Labor resources center organized testing of students studying in the specialty “Hotel business” in St. Petersburg state educational Institution “Petrovsky College”. For half an hour, students, using their personal phones, answered more than 40 questions from various fields of activity, prepared by a specialist of the reception and accommodation service: what documents are necessary for the guest to check in, how the fiscal receipt differs from the commodity one, etc.
At the end of the test, each participant immediately received their final result of answers in order to understand how their theoretical training corresponds to the tasks that make up the daily work of the hotelier. The test questions were specially prepared to check the qualifications of working specialists, and an adapted version of them was presented to students.
Among the test subjects were participants and winners of professional skill competitions: “Follow us to the profession: hospitality”, which were held under the brand of the project “Your first step in career” by the Labor resources center on June 20 and October 15, 2019.
